Stakeholder Engagement
The Newlat Food Group is in constant contact with different types of individuals who generate interests and expectations for the Group.
These parties can therefore be defined as stakeholders and can refer both to parties within the Group structure, such as partners, shareholders and employees, and to parties outside the Group, such as suppliers, customers, consumers and local communities. To each type of stakeholder, a different and specific line of relationship corresponds. This diversity is a direct consequence of the substantial difference between the interests and expectations accrued by the various stakeholders. Therefore, the Group, wishing to pay more and more attention to dialogue with these stakeholders, must address them, in a differentiated manner, through a carefully and precisely targeted dialogue.
Dialogue with the different categories of stakeholders allows the Group to achieve objectives of improving and enhancing its knowledge of its network, enabling, on the one hand, the increase of the positive impacts generated on it and, on the other hand, the mitigation of the negative impacts of the company’s activities on the environment and society.
Since 2021, with the intention of establishing a profitable and constant dialogue over time with all identified stakeholders, the Group has launched a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, thanks to which numerous subjects have been involved through one-to-one meetings, workshops and online surveys. This activity, conducted in line with the main international standards for identifying material topics and which will continue in the years to come, makes it possible to capture changes in the Group’s impacts and to evolve business dynamics accordingly.
